Hi there, I'm Lauren. I go by "LO" because those were my initials prior to getting married and that was the easiest way to differentiate between Laurens growing up and even in the workplace. I’m a born-and-raised Florida girl (don't judge me) and ditched my flip-flops, year-round tan and 100% humidity for Chicago’s nine months of winter to become a writer. A copywriter. The kind of writer that no one outside of the industry really understands. I’ve lived here for over a decade now and always manage to forget gloves and wear the wrong shoes throughout the winter. That said, summer is the best season and no one will convince me otherwise (looking at you, fall).
I am kind of obsessed with running. Some people impulse buy expensive bags or shoes. I impulse buy marathon entries and running gear. So there's that. I'm also known for being the pickiest eater ever. I am judged often for my strong dislike for fan favorites like pizza, peanut butter, cheese and avocados...to name a few. I’m also a dog lover and own two: a German Shepherd/Rottweiler (Raya) and a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois (Lincoln) who can easily clear a five-foot fence but it is a good boy otherwise.
